Why, Hello there.
I can’t believe I am writing this. A very good friend of mine told me about two years ago — “You should write a blog, so that people can read about all the ridiculous shit you do.” I am going to be real honest– More honest that I am with most people. As a child, I used to entertain myself by pretending that I was Martha Stewart and talking to the imaginary camera in my bedroom. That is right, imagine a 10 year old telling the world about how to make custom gift bags — which were really just gift bags I had snuck without my mom seeing and covered in glue and tissue paper. So there is something secretly appealing to this whole “being a blogger” thing.
For two years, I thought about having a blog and thought about it some more. I did something scary and told a couple people about what I was thinking. I told a few more people. Apparently, there are some great accountability partners in my life, because those people started asking me about when I was going to start the freaking blog. Cue my Pinterest feed being full of “Start a blog” posts and reading them obsessively for months.
Finally about three months ago, I did it. I just got online one day and bought this domain name. Followed by a message to M, “well… that charge on the card. It is for a blog domain.” Next came the instagram account, and all of a sudden friends started clicking “Follow.” Which cemented it for me, there was no going back on this little adventure.
I’ve spent the past three months dreaming up posts, taking photos, thinking about what the heck this page is all about and what I will share with you. Now, here we are. A day after I told myself I would push publish, but at least it is only 1 day late.
One of my 2017 goals was “To launch the blog without judgment on where it starts.” So, be nice… Or don’t. I can handle it. Remind me of the “crazy thing” I do that might be good to share on here with all of you. I’ve already got the next couple of months planned out — So let me tell you a bit more about what you will see on here::
