This Vietnamese dressing is the common sauce for rice noodle bowls and salads. A little salty, a little sweet, a little acidic - it packs a punch of flavor.

  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 limes juiced
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1/4 cup fish sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Sugar
  • 2 teaspoons sambal olek or sriracha
  • 1/2 cup Water


  • Combine all sauce ingredients in a small bowl. Whisk to combine all ingredients together.
  • Set aside until ready to serve.


  • Can easily be made ahead of time and refrigerated to make easy
